Xigera Camp by Wilderness Safaris, in the beautiful Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana, is expecting a major renovation and refurbishment.
Once complete the lodge will be a Wilderness Safaris Premier Camp, which is a significant upgrade. Xigera will be closed from 31 August, and is expected to reopen in 2019.
“While we recognise and regret the inconvenience this may represent to guests already booked to travel to Xigera this season, this is not a decision that has been taken lightly. As far as is possible, all such guests will be accommodated elsewhere in Wilderness Safaris Classic Camps in the Okavango Delta such as Jacana, Seba or Little Vumbura, offering similar experiences,” says Keith Vincent, the CEO of Wilderness Safaris.
Premier or Adventure camps will be used as substitution in other cases. Any extra costs incurred in the way of accommodation fees and transfers will be covered by Wilderness Safaris.
