Upgrades at Victoria Falls Safari Club & Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, Zimbabwe

Victoria Falls Safari Club recently unveiled their new look which includes a brand new swimming pool area, a new restaurant and larger lounge area.

The upgrade included a new plunge pool with a horizon waterfall, which flows over into a 15m lap pool. The entire swimming pool area has been refurbished, and now has a split level deck and comfortable sun loungers, offering guests maximum comfort and enjoyment.

The new pool area also boasts a bar, server and changing facilities. The deck and lounge of the main building have both been increased in size, and the new restaurant has its own kitchen which is expected to enhance the culinary efficiency and experience of the club. We are also excited to see what the new manager, Dionne Mutsonziwa, has in store for enhancing the general guest experience at the Club.

“With the new restaurant at the Safari Club, guests at the Club now have four dining options on our estate alone.” - Michele Vickory, Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator for AAT’s Victoria Falls Safari Lodge estate

Last year screens were installed between bedrooms and bathrooms to offer guests more privacy.

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge will also be undergoing significant upgrades, that will begin in June this year.

The upgrade will involve a complete replacement of the pool deck, as well as a new fitness room beneath the deck. The glass fronted fitness room will overlook a waterhole for fantastic game viewing experiences while exercising. The fitness room will also be air conditioned and complimentary for guests of the lodge.

Africa Albida Tourism, the group that owns the lodges, have implemented this drive to enhance its tourist offering in Zimbabwe. "Victoria Falls is growing as a desired tourist destination in the country and, to optimise its venue for the boom in tourism, AAT will be adding these new amenities." - Ross Kennedy, CEO of AAT

Please note: The pool at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge will be closed for 5 weeks from 11 June.
