Savute Elephtant Lodge in Chobe National Park to Undergo Complete Renovation

Belmond has announced the $6.5 million rebuild of it’s Savute Elephant Lodge, located in the north of Botswana in the Chobe National Park. Sean Clark, the director of sales and marketing, said that the rebuild would be guided by the best sustainable building practices and that the lodge is set to reopen in June 2018. The renovation will involve a complete redesign of the lodge’s public areas and guest rooms, and when complete, would boast a spa, interconnecting family rooms, a wildlife-viewing hide and a fire-pit with a view over the famous Savute Channel.
