RwandAir has announced that they will be launching a new direct flight between Harare and Cape Town in May. The new route will be from Kigali-Harare to Cape Town after the government of Zimbabwe granted the 5th Freedom Right which allows the airline to carry passengers from one's own country to a second country and from that country to a third one etc.
Launching on the 16 May, the development was made to make it easier for Zimbabweans to travel between the two countries, and to increase the revenue at Harare's airport. The flights between Harare and Cape Town will operate four times a week - Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. This new route will complete RwandAir's coverage of Sub Saharan Africa.
