The luxurious Chikwenya Camp will be opening on 1 October in Mana Pool's National Park, Zimbabwe.
The camp has not been operational for approximately 12 years. The camp will be located where the Zambezi and Sapi Rivers meet, on the eastern border of the national park. The accommodation will be comprised of 6 canvas tents and will also boast a bar, dining area, lounge and pool.
Chikwenya Camp will be located on a private concession, allowing for both day and night drives to be offered as activities.
“Our Chikwenya site is one of the most beautiful places for a camp in southern Africa and we can’t wait to introduce the new camp to our guests, even if it’s just for a short period of time before the end of the season on November 15,” says Keith Vincent, the CEO of Wilderness Safaris
Guests visiting the camp will make use of Mana Main airstrip for the remainder of the this season. They will then be transferred approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to the camp. The new season will begin 1 April 2019 and the full range of activities will then be available, including canoeing.
